Thank you so much for stopping by. My name is Nicole and I'm the founder of Spruce Street Candle Co. Just a little bit about me, I was born overseas but have spent the majority of my life on the west coast in California. I moved to Philadelphia following grad school and have embraced this city as my home for the past 13 years. The charm of Spruce Street in Fitler Square has provided a comforting backdrop to my life for a majority of that time. By day, I dedicate myself to a career in the healthcare field, while enjoying the delicate art and science of candle making at night and in my free time. Spruce Street Candle Co. is a small business which grew from a candle passion project that began during the pandemic combined with a lifelong obsession with fragrance.

I worked at Anthropologie during my undergraduate years and realized one of the primary reasons I loved it so much was because of the candles and the aromatic aesthetic they would bring out in the store. I have always gravitated towards their stunning candles and scents and my fondest memories from working there involved the candle displays. I love the ambiance that an aesthetically pleasing, dynamically scented candle can bring out in any space. With my background in mind, I've introduced my own range of scented candles that produce a similarly powerful emotive smelling experience.

This cherished craft has grown over the years, allowing me to create elegantly scented, small-batch, hand-poured candles using only the high-quality ingredients. Vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free, each candle is designed to infuse your space with warmth and serenity, or crisp and clean freshness, depending on your mood and the vibe you’re going for. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with you and hope you enjoy these candles as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them for you.
